The climate in Sofia at the beginning of June is mild and warm, sometimes rainy, with average daily temperatures ranging from 20 to 25oC.

Money exchange
The Bulgarian Lev is pegged to the Euro. 1 EUR = 1.955 BGN.
You may exchange money in banks and in any of the numerous exchange offices. Some of those offices are opened during the holidays. Banks are operating with clients from 9.30 until 16.00 from Monday till Friday. Moreover, you can use the numerous ATM machines which can be found everywhere in the city

Credit cards
VISA, Master Card / Euro card or American Express are accepted.

Shopping
Most of the shops are open from 10:00 till 19:00 on weekdays and till 13:00 on Saturdays. The big shopping centers such as Sofia City Center, Mall of Sofia, Central Department Store work till 22:00, including during the weekend. Most of them accept credit card payments, but in general you still need to carry cash.

Transport
Getting around Sofia is easy using its trams, trolley buses, buses and underground. Tickets are usually bought before getting on the vehicle from the kiosk at the stops.

People can take a taxi by calling a taxi company.
